Taeyang 태양 – Wedding Dress 웨딩드레스 (Robotaki Remix)

Progressive house remix of Taeyang (태양) – Wedding Dress (웨딩드레스). I’ve added and tweaked a whole lot of things, both subtle and large, since the teaser. Overall, it was an absolute pleasure working on this track. The whole thing was strongly influenced by Deadmau5′s way of producing. If I could get anywhere remotely close to sounding like him then I’d be very happy I went at this track with a really conservative approach, only changing chords once in near the middle and at the end. I wanted to show that “beat-heavy” music can also have a sombre quality to it, also to remain consistent with the original. I’ve got my hands on a bunch of new soundfonts recently (church bells at the end, electric organ, chimes) and learned a lot of new ways to morph synths through FL Studio’s Sytrus. It’s a shame that I couldn’t preserve the piano motif from the original, but it just happens to be that I don’t have a midi controller at all (never had). That should be on the grocery list for the near future :p Anyway, enough talk! I hope you enjoy listening!
